Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a friendly, informative, and welcoming Maintenance Helper to join our Rockwood at South Hill team. This individual will work with the Environmental Manager in keeping a safe environment for residents, guests, and employees.
Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.18 per hour
Shift Type: Mon-Fri | 8am- 4pm
Responsibilities
- Drive Rockwood vehicles to pick up garbage, parts, and supplies
- Perform various work orders and preventative maintenance work orders in or on residential homes and/or apartments in a timely manner
- Change filters
- Assist in annual alarm testing of houses
- Remove accumulations of snow when needed
- Must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize
- Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident information
- Adhere to all professional standards, policy and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff
- Uphold the RRC Values in all interactions
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- High School diploma or GED; one to three months of related work experience and/or training
- Current and valid driver’s license and insurance preferred
- Multi-tasking skills
- Great attention to detail
- Communication skills
