Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Supervisor at our Whitworth campus. This position is responsible for serving as the supervisor for housekeeping and laundry duties on a daily basis and maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors and employees.
Pay Range: $22 – $25 per hour
Shift Type: Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Report on a daily basis to the Environmental Services Manager as to general housekeeping and laundry issues
- Oversee the quality assurance of various areas around the campus
- Serve as the lead trainer of new housekeeping personnel
- Ensure that all licensed rooms have a quick turnaround to get them ready for the next resident
- Order products as assigned.
- Hires staff for job vacancies in housekeeping and laundry.
- Responsible for the performance management of housekeeping and laundry staff
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Working on the floor as needed
- Ordering/ shopping of supplies
- Point of contact for anything housekeeping/ custodial related
- Upholds the RRC Values in all interactions
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of housekeeping or custodial experience (laundry experience preferred)
- Previous experience supervising staff in housekeeping and laundry required
- Computer skills preferred
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
