A Team Of People Making A Vision A Reality

Our highly involved Board of Trustees meets frequently and works to make Rockwood’s vision for the future a reality. This impressive group of dedicated individuals is comprised of members of the local professional and service community as well as residents—a very successful formula. It is essential for us to see every angle of the community and bring everyone together to continuously improve and build.

Spokane United Methodist Homes Code of Ethics—Board of Trustees

  • I will do my best to ensure that Spokane United Methodist Homes is operated in a manner that upholds our values and merits the trust and confidence of every individual who has a vested interest in the continuing success of our communities.
  • I understand it is essential the organization and the Board abide by all applicable laws and regulations.
  • I will be a responsible steward of the Organization’s resources and will strive to ensure its long term financial viability and ability to fulfill its mission.
  • I will adequately disclose conflicts of interest and not directly participate in actions that could benefit me personally.
  • I will strive to actively participate in the Governing Board’s deliberations and discussions and to increase my level of knowledge of Spokane United Methodist Homes.
  • I respect the structure and responsibilities of the Board and agree to uphold its policies.
  • I will respect the confidentiality of privileged information and will avoid acting as spokesperson for the Board unless specifically authorized to do so.
  • I understand the role of the Board is to make policy and not to participate directly in management or administrative assistance.

R Parks 2021

Robyn Parks, Chair

Trustee since 2015, Robyn works as a CPA at her firm, Parks Associates, which provides business, non-profit, and individual tax and accounting services. She previously served on the boards of the Girls Scouts, Connoisseur Concerts, and Better Business Bureau of Spokane. She serves as Chair of the Executive Committee and is on the Finance Committee.

Rockwood Retirement Communities Spokane ADeMott Board of Trustees

Andy DeMott, Vice Chair

Trustee since 2018, Andy worked as a military legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives, served in the Office of the Secretary of the Navy and in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport, WA. He previously served as the board chair of the Spokane Club. Andy serves on the Executive and Governance Committees and as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Camilla Mounts, Immediate Past Chair

Trustee since 2013, Camilla is currently a realtor but long-term care was her passion for 25 years. She is a member of Millwood Presbyterian Church, a member and past-president of P.E.O. and past member of Spokane Valley Rotary. Camilla chairs the Finance Committee and serves on the Strategic Planning Committee, Executive Committee, and the Appleway Court Board.

Chris Bafus

Trustee since 2016, Chris, DBA Pillar Financial Group, works as a Financial Planner. Chris is an active member of the Manito United Methodist Church, serving as its memorial and foundation chairman and as its finance committee chair. He also serves on the board for the United Methodist Foundation of the Northwest. He serves on the Finance Committee.

Jonell Block

Trustee since 2017, Jonell is a Doctor of Audiology and owns her own business, Audiology Northwest. She is a cellist in the Project Joy Orchestra. Jonell serves on the Governance Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and the Appleway Court Board.

Rockwood Retirement Communities Spokane B Bornhoft Board of Trustees

Beth Bornhoft

Trustee since 2016, Beth is a retired loan servicing manager and works as a part time bookkeeper to her son who is a commercial realtor/developer. Beth volunteers her time at St. David’s Episcopal Church and with a reading program at Linwood Elementary. Beth serves as Chair of the Governance Committee and is on the Appleway Court Board.

J. Dropper 2021

Jim Dropper

Trustee since 2021, Jim has been an executive leader in the senior care and services industry for 30 years. He served the Good Samaritan Society for much of his career and will be of great service to our organization with his compassion for seniors and his background and leadership skills for guiding positive change for our industry. Jim serves on Rockwood’s Governance Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.

T. Johnson 2021

Tom Johnson

Trustee since 2021, Tom is retired from working as the President/CEO of Spokane Teachers Credit Union and former Vice President for Business Affairs at Whitworth University. He has served on many community boards and we welcome his passion for community and his strong skills in business and leadership. Tom serves on Rockwood’s Finance Committee and Master Planning Committee.

Maddock Todd 2019

Todd Maddock

Trustee since 2016, and Rockwood South Hill resident, Todd previously lived in Lewiston, ID and worked at Potlatch Corp. in Governmental Affairs. He was a founding board member of the Idaho Community Foundation, Lewis-Clark State College Foundation, and Lewiston Library Foundation. In retirement he served on the Lewiston Port Commission and the Lewiston Library Board of Trustees. Todd serves on the Finance Committee and Master Planning Committee.

S. Miranda 2021

Rev. Sheila Miranda

Trustee since 2021, Rev. Sheila Miranda is an Associate for Connectional Ministries for the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church. She serves the Conference by connecting churches with conference resources and develops collaboration in mission projects. We welcome her ecumenical guidance and connections. She also serves on our Appleway Court (Affordable Housing) Board.

M Rohrham 2021

Marnie Rorholm

Trustee since 2021, Marnie is the Director of Development for the Spokane Valley Summer Theater Program and the Spokane Valley Performing Arts Center Capital Campaign. Marnie has extensive experience and education in leadership, business administration, and marketing. She will be a great asset to our Board, serving on our Strategic Planning and Master Planning Committees.

Brent Stanyer

Trustee since 2014, Brent T. Stanyer, JD, AEP®, is an estate planning and elder law attorney. Brent is also past president of the Spokane Estate Planning Council and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He serves on Rockwood’s Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.

Sweigert Bill 2021x

Bill Sweigert

Trustee since 2020, Bill is owner of Sweigert Management Associates which provides consulting and training to management leaders. He also has extensive experience working in Human Resources and has been an adjunct faculty of Gonzaga School of Business. Bill chairs the Master Planning Committee and also serves on the Executive and Finance Committees.

D Wetmore 2021

David Wetmore

Trustee since 2022, David Wetmore is a retired director of rehabilitation services and physical therapist who has worked in various medical and senior care facilities. He brings a unique medical perspective to our Board. David serves on the Master Planning Committee.
