Rockwood at Whitworth is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and caring individual to join our team as an Activity Assistant.

Pay Range: $18 – $19 per hour

Shift Type: Tuesday – Saturday 10AM – 6:30PM

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Director of Life Enrichment in providing quality activities for residents
  • Assist using current technology such as Zoom and premium television channels
  • Assist with on-and off-campus events
  • Accompany residents to on and off campus events
  • Periodically drive residents to on and off campus events
  • Assist Transportation in gathering transportation information. Pre-trip/post-van inspections. Maintain a good driving record and keep a mileage log.
  • Assist in Memory Care using excellent customer service skills and knowledge of daily activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident information
  • Adhere to all professional standards, policy and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; three to six months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with senior adults in a retirement community setting
  • Ability to communicate with your team and our residents, keep order and enforce safety rules with large groups
  • Ability to perform program research, assist in planning programs and be comfortable with public speaking
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record
  • Experience driving a 10+ passenger van with a wheelchair lift preferred
  • Current CPR-First Aid card preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Marketing Associate

Rockwood Retirement Communities is seeking a motivated and results-driven Marketing Associate to join our marketing team. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the marketing team in pre-selling a new community and retaining depositors through events, information and logistical assistance.  Once community is open, the position assists the team during fill-up and in building and maintaining high occupancy and a waitlist for prospective residents.

Pay Range: $26 – $28 per hour

Shift Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Associate’s main responsibility is to assist the marketing department to further sales to new incoming residents
  • Create marketing events that are professional and well managed.  This will include invitation design, working with caterers, set-up and RSVP management
  • Utilize the CRM (Customer Relation Management) system to its full potential.  This includes entering leads promptly and accurately, updating activity and financial transactions and running reports
  • Greet visitors both in person and on the phone
  • Assist the sales team with initial tours when needed
  • Coordinate move-in details for new residents. This includes working directly with the incoming residents and communicating with other departments (accounting, maintenance, activities, etc.)
  • Manage incoming resident documents and files including electronic versions
  • Order all office supplies and monitor sales tools quantities (brochures, handbooks, etc.)
  • Help to manage the depositor and waitlist data and ensure accuracy
  • Create and send eblasts on a regular basis
  • Manage model apartment set up and take down
  • Accurately complete and distribute daily and weekly sales reports
  • Work directly with Corporate Communications Manager to create community communication pieces (this may include flyers, newsletters and invitations)
  • Ability to post updates on the Rockwood at Liberty Lake website
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff

Maintenance Engineer (South Hill campus)

Rockwood Retirement Communities is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance Department at South Hill Campus. The successful candidate will have knowledge of industrial equipment, be able to demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills, and be able to service, troubleshoot, and repair equipment without causing extended equipment downtime.

Pay Range: $25.00 – $31.97 per hour

Shift Type: Full-time (Thursday-Sunday: 9pm-7am)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain boilers, furnaces, air conditioners, compressors, generators, and all auxiliary equipment in the buildings and houses
  • Installing insulation in ducts
  • Install, check, maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, appliances, pneumatics, HVAC systems in the building and houses
  • Act as security at times
  • React appropriately to emergency situations – fire, weather storms, bomb threats, power outages, etc.
  • Complete incoming work orders as assigned
  • Perform work and chemical tests on the pool and spa
  • Troubleshoot various problems on equipment
  • Must be able to operate or learn to operate all equipment associated with the job duties proficiently
  • Able to multi-task and pivot priorities at a moment’s notice
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Be adaptable and ready to face unexpected challenges

Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree/Certificate from a technical school; or minimum 6 months related experience or training
  • Have current and valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Have or obtain a “Low-Pressure Boiler Operator License” within your first 3 months of employment
  • Have or obtain a Heating Mechanics I License within the first 6 months of employment
  • General knowledge in Building Maintenance duties

Housekeeper

Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a reliable individual to join our team as a Full-time Housekeeper at our Whitworth campus. The ideal candidate is trustworthy and works well independently.

Pay Range: $18 – $18.25 per hour

Shift:

Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident apartments and all public areas
  • Mop
  • Vacuum
  • Dust
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Move furniture
  • Empty garbage
  • Clean carpets as needed
  • Wash, dry, sort laundry, and deliver to the resident rooms
  • Maintain a log of the hot water temperature to ensure proper water temp
  • Maintain your work area
  • Sweep and mop the laundry area
  • Clean dryer screens daily
  • Clean the laundry bins after each use
  • Sanitize washers and dryers after each use

Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our Rockwood at Whitworth Custodial team. We offer a positive, upbeat work environment where we all work together for the good of our residents.

Pay Range: $18 – 18.25 per hour

Shift Type: Full-Time

Monday – Friday (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)

Monday – Friday (6 AM – 2 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Floor care, either vacuuming, shampooing, dust mopping or wet mopping
  • Clean up spills
  • Clean public restrooms
  • Trash removal
  • Deliver packages
  • Move furniture for residents
  • Set up for social events
  • Snow removal
  • Clean resident apartments and all public areas

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 100lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
