  • Oversees the operations of the infection prevention, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and relevant safety programs.

  • Responsible for education and counseling on infection prevention for staff, volunteers and medical staff.
  • Direct, support and participate in interdisciplinary performance and the quality improvement process by maintaining Quality Assurance Performance Improvement objectives and projects.
  • Maintains current knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and ensures that the campus leaders are informed of appropriate issues. Understands, complies with and directs efforts that ensure compliance with infection control, safety and OSHA/CMS procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State RN license
  • Bachelor of Science (BSN)
  • Special training in an Infection Prevention & Control from an accredited Continuing Education
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Health Care Services Director

This position is responsible for directing health care services of our assisted living and memory support care settings as well as supportive health care programs for our independent living residents. The HCSD will ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect as well as manage the quality of their care. Frequent interaction with residents, families, and fellow team members is required.

Pay Salary: $105k — $125k

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the delivery of high-quality care to all residents within the community by managing the day to day health care operations.
  • Assesses potential residents in various settings to evaluate their needs and determine if they are eligible for admission.
  • Establishes and manages departmental operational budgets.
  • Serves as a direct liaison between residents, families, and team members.
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of resident’s assessments and negotiated service plans in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Schedules and conducts new resident orientation for new health care residents.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, preferred.

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state and in good standing, preferred.
  • Ability to obtain AL Manager Training within a year of employment.

Cosmetologist

Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking to hire a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an On-Call Cosmetologist for our Rockwood South Hill & Rockwood at Whitworth campus. This individual will provide great customer service to residents, families, and team members.

Pay Range: $17.50-$18.00 per hour for training. Pay will then be commission based, (65%) of service sales and (25%) of retail sales after training.
*Please note, this position is not eligible to accept tips.

Shift Type: On-call. No weekends required. This position requires the ability to work shifts at both campuses as needed.

Job Functions:

  • Provide a first-class experience to our residents who live in our assisted living [KH2] and memory care building by demonstrating superior knowledge in hair and nail services
  • Converse and build relationships with residents, resident family members and team members to provide the best person-centered care for each resident.
  • Work with residents, resident families and nursing team to schedule all appointments

Laundry Attendant (South Hill Campus)

Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a reliable individual to join our team as a Part-time Laundry Attendant at our South Hill campus. The ideal candidate is trustworthy and works well independently.

Pay Range: $17.50 – $19.83 per hour

Shift Type: Monday-Wednesday (8:00 am – 4:00 pm)

Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry, sort laundry, and deliver to the resident rooms
  • Maintain a log of the hot water temperature to ensure proper water temp
  • Maintain your work area
  • Sweep and mop the laundry area
  • Clean dryer screens daily
  • Clean the laundry bins after each use
  • Sanitize washers and dryers after each use

Pay Range: $43 – $50 per hour DOE

  • + Shift differential for Evening and/or Night Shift

Responsibilities

  • Licensed Nurse who provides safe, competent, quality care.
  • Complete medication pass, resident care, and proper nurse charting/documentation.
  • Nursing assessments are based on interviews, examinations, observations, and reviews of records of our residents.
  • Nursing actions are consistent with the care plan and medical regimen.
  • Coordinates resident care activities, based on established priorities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning, and directs/delegates appropriately health care team members.
  • Oversees the care staff and helps them in making educated care decisions.
  • Enjoy being part of a team, as this position will work closely with a team of nursing assistants and other interdisciplinary team members assuring our residents are receiving the best of care and customer service.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Current Washington State RN/LPN License
  • Current BLS or CPR/AED/First Aid Card
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate
