Rockwood Retirement Communities Receives Dual Accreditation
September 01, 2015
In April of 2015, Rockwood Hawthorne and Rockwood South Hill welcomed eight surveyors from CARF and EAGLE to review the organization’s efforts for continuous quality improvement. For 3 days, the surveyors met with staff, residents, family and other stakeholders to determine our demonstration of meeting over 800 quality standards. Through reviewing documents and personal interviews, the surveyors sought to find evidence of our conformance to the standards and demonstrations of ongoing quality and performance improvements. Rockwood Retirement Communities is proud to announce that they have received accreditation from both organizations. This designation sets our organization apart from all other communities in Spokane as we are the only dually accredited organization between Spokane and Seattle.
CARF International (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services and EAGLE (Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward Excellence) is the only faith-based accrediting body in the world. The accreditors allow a concurrent survey through a cooperative process that permits each accrediting body to support and rely upon the other, while each remains independent and autonomous in its private deliberations and final accreditation determination.
