Staffing Coordinator

Full-Time Position, Days

Location: Rockwood at Whitworth

Job Description

This position works closely with the Director of Nursing (DNS) to facilitate an effective and organized nursing department. This individual will participate in the hiring/ onboarding process as they are involved in the interviews, paperwork and onboarding for the nursing department. Also, performing duties in several related areas to ensure the coordination of the nursing schedule, that adequate supplies are available and in good working order to provide care to our residents, and that payroll is accurate and timely submitted.

Job Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm


Staffing / Onboarding
  • Initial phone screening/interview with potential candidates
  • Works closely with the DNS/Staff Development Coordinator to ensure that all paperwork and orientation training is completed per the Washington State and Federal guidelines
  • Schedules the Nursing department to ensure that there are sufficient staff to safely care for our residents
  • Schedules companions for med runs
Supplies / Billing
  • Ensures that the nursing team has adequate supplies to adequately care for residents, including PPE
  • Maintains inventory levels and orders supplies and equipment
  • Utilizes a Personal Data Assistant to submit charges
  • Codes and submits bills for payment
  • Reviews punches and submits team members’ hours to the Accounting department according to RRC policy
  • Notifies Administration of discrepancies in hours

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to six months related work experience
  • One year experience working with the senior population
  • Familiar with Microsoft Suites -- Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Familiar with Kronos
