Rockwood Retirement Communities is looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Supervisor at our Whitworth campus. This position is responsible for serving as the supervisor for housekeeping and laundry duties on a daily basis and maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors and employees.

Pay Range: $22 – $24 per hour

Shift Type: Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Report on a daily basis to the Environmental Services Manager as to general housekeeping and laundry issues
  • Oversee the quality assurance of various areas around the campus
  • Serve as the lead trainer of new housekeeping personnel
  • Ensure that all licensed rooms have a quick turnaround to get them ready for the next resident
  • Order products as assigned.
  • Hires staff for job vacancies in housekeeping and laundry.
  • Responsible for the performance management of housekeeping and laundry staff
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and staff and maintain a good working relationship with all staff
  • Answering phone calls and emails
  • Working on the floor as needed
  • Ordering/ shopping of supplies
  • Point of contact for anything housekeeping/ custodial related
  • Upholds the RRC Values in all interactions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of housekeeping or custodial experience (laundry experience preferred)
  • Previous experience supervising staff in housekeeping and laundry required
  • Computer skills preferred
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
